Conner worked with merchants in Old Town Scottsdale (AZ), who were interested in honoring "cowboy" history. Elements of that culture are juxtaposed with objects that evoke lesser-known stories.

Local cotton was once used in automobile tires, artists camped along the canals, an ice plant once occupied the site, and an Italian blacksmith developed a branding iron in honor of a Scottsdale slogan: "The West's Most Western Town."

Collections of a total of 19 objects provide respite along the streetscape. concrete and steel objects are installed in two locations on a downtown block.
