“Sweet Suite,” for the City of Kent, Washington, is a series of five sculptural sweet gum pods, honoring well-loved trees that were replaced with a hardier species. Their “stems” curled in a variety of positions, the pods appear to dance and tumble along the sidewalk's edge, echoing the movement of pedestrians and the informal play of children in and around a fountain in the adjacent Town Square.

"Pods" range in diameter from 30" to 54" and are illuminated at night.
